This record should not sound as good as it does. If they can somehow fit 30 minutes on all four sides of this, why doesn't every album? I'm kidding, of course, but this is nonetheless incredible. Groove distortion is impossibly low. Bass is a tad light, compared to future releases, but it isn't enough to mask Teo Macero's enveloping warmth.
