Notes

Labels have a black rainbow color-band without "subsidiary" rim text.

This version was pressed by Capitol's plant in Scranton, PA (identified by stamped letters I over AM inside a triangle).

Has "Trunk Cover" (not "Butcher Cover").

Labels have the title as "YESTERDAY" . . . AND TODAY
and this appears below the band name on the labels: (Recorded in England)

Small 3 on rear cover, left of RIAA logo (= printed by Modern Album, Long Island, New York - source Bruce Spizer book 'The Beatles' Story on Capitol Records, page 241).

Cover controversy aside, great compilation. Sound quality is decent on the original pressings, especially considering how some original Capitol pressings sound. All the Revolver tracks are unfortunately in Duophonic on the stereo release, and the Rubber Soul tracks are fold down mono mixes on the mono release. (notice Drive My Car with the cowbell still loud, the cowbell is buried in the true mono mix)

Mine has side one: T1-2553 F3-#3 IAM inside triangle and side two: T2-2553 F7 IAM inside triangle. On the back cover is the number 3 next to RIAA. Is this not a butcher cover? Can’t really see ringos black triangle so I’m assuming not.
