Edited 2 days agoU2 have clearly lost their way. Going downhill for nearly two decades now becoming the new Rolling Stones in a way.
The last project Songs of Surrender was absolutely atrocious but listening to snippets of the tracks made me crying with laughter so it has it's use. It's like Coldplay doing U2 doing U2 doing Coldplay doing U2! Nasty stuff all through!
Songs of Innocence was bad enough but Songs of Experience even worse and now Songs of Surrender. The next one will be called Songs of Nothing I expect. I just Listen to Pop, the best album they ever made.

Disgraceful cover, looks like a shot taken after going on an all-night pub crawl bender: Larry, the quiet drunk, Adam, the solid drunk, Bono, falling down drunk, and The Edge, piss in the pants drunk.

Edited 27 days agoSome of these tracks obviously had already been featured as demos on 'The Complete U2' mp3 collection. The best track on this one 'Are You Gonna Wait Forever' is a b-side already. I never understood the fuzz about the lame meandering track 'Mercy' which is now 'The luckiest man...' . That demo 'Smile' also stayed as lame as it was and the 'Country Mile' is another edition for their album 'Songs For Supermarkets' it seems. Probably no need to overinterprete that they actually called this demo collection an album. U2 might be the band surrounded by the most arsekissers. Still the actual bomb, an album that is slightly overrated cause it becomes more and more of a snorefest towards the end might have benefited from the inclusion of a few more rockers. If you are a real U2 fan you have to have this one too of course. You need every fart they ever recorded. And it is shame you can't sniff them too.

Classic U2, Reimagined
This vinyl release offers a unique blend of familiar and fresh tracks from U2's early 2000s era. While the price tag might seem steep for a 10-song record, it's a worthwhile investment for dedicated fans.
For those who, like me, own the original deluxe combo and the Chicago live DVD, this vinyl provides the perfect complement. It offers a focused selection of classic tracks without the unnecessary remixes or redundant live performances.
If you're a U2 fan seeking a high-quality physical release of this era's best work, this vinyl is a must-have. -
cool release, ok, but really too expensive for just one record and a poster..really poor sales policy

Very happy with this release. Pressing sounds great to my ears. No clicks or pops. So great to hear these “lost “ songs.

Super expensive for 10 songs, but since I didn’t want to pay for the box set because I own Dismantle already, this was a necessary addition to the collection. It sounds ok. The songs have a rough mix feel, meaning definitely not polished, super rushed mixes. Was expecting them to take these sessions and polish them up to sound a little more like Dismantle… oh well. I guess I don’t mind.
The songs are decent enough to stand on their own, but it could’ve been cheaper considering the amount of copies that were pressed.
