Edited 4 months agoSounds very nice, better than the regular (black) vinyl reissue, which has huge 's' trouble. This one sounds very, very nice. Mine too came warped, but it doesn't effect the playback. It's equipped with nice cover, although I don't prefer gatefold; it has additional booklet and carton poster. Very interesting inning of the gatefold (the space where record and booklet are placed) is also pictured...... recommend it.

Glad I went for this re-issue. I already have BORN IN THE U.S.A on CD in a boxed set but I like the way this is presented. A gatefold sleeve with Bruce Springsteen in the middle on stage (probably at Wembley). Lots of memorabillia to look through, the special booklet etc. etc. plus the colour of the vinyl (would have prefered the colours of the American flag but hey ho). They'd better not re-issue this version on CD, it won't be exclusive anymore!

I have compared this release with my original '84 version. They are different for sure and in some ways, this version is better. I think the master is Bob ludwig's from 2014 and Sony's Legacy series. I can't compare that as I do not have a copy. The mastering is different to the original it provides more space around the individual instruments and so they can be heard better. This version is quieter and Springsteen's voice not so forward so sometimes seems softer but as Grunman says if you don't pay attention louder always wins. The different processing works on some tracks but not so good on others. You just need to crank it up a notch to compare against the original which can sound harsh in comparison. Overall my copy is quiet and flat and I like the sound.

Edited 11 months agoThe sound indeed really dissapoints. This anniversary-reissue should have been a good remaster... but it is not. Neither is the vinyl silent. A nice set? Yes. But that's talking about the looks, not the sound. A fine album, a great artist, good music. Indeed a wasted opportunity. Was really looking forward to this one.

Edited 11 months agoVinyl was warped, couldn't see it from outside as the cover wasn't really bent. Well, bad luck i guess. Based upon the reviews of the sound here, i'm gonna return it and go for something else

I've never been a fan of color vinyl. This comes in translucent red, very pretty cover and quality glossy cover a nice booklet and a small poster. Sound is not that bad, but it is not the best. I'm just glad it doesn't have any background disturbing noises.

Lovely package and a nice gatefold cover with booklet, card poster, lyric sheet and printed inner sleeve. The vinyl audio is thin, quiet and distant sounding but it is red if that improves things for you. Buy this as a souvenir because the vinyl sound is very disappointing albeit there is very little surface noise.
