Edited 4 months agoAmazing music and recording marred by vinyl that had visible scratches and marks on both sides. A double clean with my Okki Nokki has improved the ticks and pops considerably - enough to make me want to keep this beautiful album.
That said, there will probably be no more Czech GZ pressings for me! -
Edited 9 months agoGot this from Juno in an absolutely shoddy state, the vinyl warped and with white residue and dust on both sides. The inner sleeve was a horrible plain paper one. It did not play without noise and skips after cleaning with a record brush.
Cleaned it thoroughly with a Knosti and thankfully it is a beautiful sounding, quiet copy. I can live with the warp.
The music itself is absolutely sublime and I know this and her other music being a part of my life to the very end. Her voice is incredible and at times it reminds me of Sade's.
Music to celebrate your loves or to drown your sorrows. -
Not thrilled with this pressing. Some noise and sibilance, but not terrible. The spindle hole is just a little too small, and side B is slightly off center. Not clearly audible, except perhaps towards the end of the side. -

The first track of each side is a little bit noisy but the mastering is really good, with nice depth and separation. Her music is definitely the kind that benefits from the vinyl treatment. To me this album is just as haunting as Vulture Prince, but a bit more straightforward and accessible
