Notes

Reissue of Minecraft Volume Alpha with new lacquers and pressed by Precision Record Pressing instead of GZ Media.

With this reissue the font of the cat code on the spine is larger and uses more space and the same goes for the
Ghostly International logo (see last image).

Promoted as 'Transparent Green', however vinyl is actually translucent.

"MADE IN CANADA" printed on sticker on back of shrinkwrap.

Absolutely gorgeous pressing the green vinyl is incredibly vibrant. The sound quality is great no pops or crackling; it does suck that it’s not the full track list but I do believe they chose the best tracks from the original.

Won't compare against the CD I have since listening to vinyl through speakers not headphones but sounds great, obviously not dense music but still great to hear every little note played, hardly any crackles or pops - and those that are audible just add to the vibe, since Minecraft did have a jukebox and a bunch of records you could play.

A shame not all of the album made it, some great tracks are missed - especially on the Volume Beta release, but the translucent green is beautiful.

      Pressing (pops, skips): 5/5
      Mastering (audio source): 4/5

sidenote: My side B runout is the "Earth Confetti" matrix but its the translucent green

I'm disappointed they cut most the album, but they did pick the best songs and this is more of a meme LP. After some comparing the vinyl is relatively quiet, and any crackles that come in only add to the charm of this meme album. I'm surprised at its dynamics, while the soundstage could use some depth its a really good grab if you grew up with the game or just love the old music

It has high dynamic range but quiet pressing because of music. It's quiet, and you need to turn your volume system higher, and you will hear more crackles and stuff. I like how "Cat" sounds on it, because it's louder. Anyways, it's entertaining and one of a kind record. Legendary OST for legendary game.

Simple but effective packaging, with jacket, poly-lined inner, sticker on wrap and no code.
For the price, it could be better, but oh boy, was I nicely surprised!
Was expecting a bad sounding record, with full on blast of crackling, and on first listen, it was kinda what I was expecting.
After second cleaning and play through, I have to say, it blew my mind, how nice it sounds.
Happy with the purchase, would recommend it.

one of the best sounding records in my collection. some surface noise but it’s not distracting. super happy to finally have this

The issue is that the record is dirty. Very dirty. Kicked up a lot of dirt on the first ten seconds of subwoofer lullaby, even after cleaning. Give it a couple plays with a microline or something similar, and keep cleaning. It will eventually sound fine. Low surface noise. It's there, but I've heard much worse though. Could get better clarity out of the highs, but meh. It's not awful. Most people wouldn't be able to tell either I'd guess.

I was dreading this one a bit, considering the Volume Beta repress I bought a few months ago – an okay soundstage, nothing stellar, and a fair bit of crackling and pops – but this... This is a delight. The complete opposite of what Volume Beta was for me in of surface noise and sound quality. It's flawless throughout, with no clicks, pops or hiss. Sound is big, round and balanced, it's dynamic and well placed. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
