Edited 2 months agothis release features a slightly different edit of 'can you feel it' than the one released as 'cls' on strictly rhythm. there may be other subtle differences i'm not aware of, but the intro on this one is 16 measures (64 beats) in length compared to 8 measures (32 beats) on the strictly rhythm release. subtle, but important difference for djs.

Edited 8 years agoTheres no forgetting, TT knew exactly what he was doing back in the day & some of these tracks are still totally irresistible. In particular, 'Searchin' is in a class of its own. Simple, dark & dubby in that phat cut up Todd Terry Style... 'Razen Theme' gives me the spooks when it gets going. Its touches like the 'Apache' break sample that lent to TT's unmistakable style, owing much to hip hop & NY culture at the time. 'Can You Feel It' is a classic belting dance-a-thon, an early house treasured memory for me. Dated? Yes, but refreshing non the less.
