Edited 5 months agoThis album has been close to me for a very long time and it wasn't until I bought and listened to the vinyl that I realized how poorly this album is mastered. The hissing and distortion everytime Alex would sing an "s" sound or a cymbal crashed peirced my ears.
After hearing this I went back to my CD copy and alas, the sibilance I heard in the vinyl was staring at me. Same issue with my ed WAV copy.
I have to swallow this fact and try to enjoy the music. Maybe Suck it and See was meant for the 96kbps mp3 format where it becomes obscured in low resolution. -
