New rule: a record cannot be called “Limited edition” if there are over 1000 pressings and 1000 is really pushing it
-
I bought it for the novelty, as I’m quite happy with my RKIDLP009 press of this but I’m blown by its quality, the cutting is clean and soft, there is no noticeable warp and the sound is excellent although a bit low. I’m guessing they used the same master and not a new one which has been the doom of every Oasis press since 2014. The numbering is clean and even if you cannot really see the side it’s definitely there. Good purchase. (Use the ilumiscope app for the zoetrope)

Anyone else who bought this have marker smears on the front as they stacked them after writing the numbers on the back and didn't wait for it to dry? I have a black smear on the front and my numbers on the back are smeared too.

Edited one year agoAll in all, I’m extremely happy with the sound of the records, for a picture disc, nonetheless. Oasis records will never have the best mastering, but they have no background noise, no pops, no hissing, none of it. I’m just really annoyed with the lack of an identifier between Disc 1 and 2, as is everyone else

Edited one year agoToday, I received Oasis "The masterplan" - 2 LP vinyl records and both vinyl records have the same design (They are identical), and They do not indicate which is disc 1 or 2 and which is A or B sides of each vinyl record. Is this so?
-
Has anyone else got smeared black ink on the front of their belly band? Obviously it’s from how they’ve stacked them without first letting them dry.
A first world problem, ittedly, but I’ve ed Blood to try and get a new one sent in the post. Not holding my breath they will even respond, however. -
I’ve gotta say, I’m always a little nervous buying anything from Blood, but my pressing of The Masterplan is fine. No pops, skips or clicks. Both discs are flat and with the exception of “Stay Young” which sounds a little thin, it’s sounds pretty decent.
Even the official Oasis picture discs come in a PVC sleeve, so I’m not sure what people were expecting on that front. -
Does the zoetrope disk actually work on your records? My record sounds great but the disk just turns into a blur, no movement from the characters.
-
Fade Away skips on mine - there is a small divet in the vinyl. Stopped listening there, side A sounds poor. Disappointing packaging but the vinyl does look nice. I've ed the label.
-
My pressing is fine , nearly all picture discs Ive bought have come in pvc sleeve
regardless of the price . I use clear inner sleeves (£8-£10 for 50) to prevent damage years down the line.
