Edited 19 years agoInteresting affair: After the legendary "Gym Tonic" incident happened between Thomas Bangalter and Bob Sinclar, the path of these two successful DJ's separated. In between, Sinclar had remixed "Music Sounds Better With You" and some editions of the Stardust single includes his version. It was just a matter of time before Dimitri from Paris & Bibi got asked to replace the Bob Sinclar mix in the tracklisting with their sweet "Anthem From Paris", which became one of the most popular version to be played, alongside the original.

I when I first heard this song, on a weekly radio broadcast of a club night in Grand Rapids, MI that 94.5 FM was doing at the time. There was (and still is, really) something reallly infectious about the uptempo disco-flavored groove of this DAFT PUNK styled production. With regards to this particular release, I tend to prefer the original mixes of the track (especially the lengthier club mix) to the two remixes, as they're not all that interesting.
The fact that T. Bangalter worked on this track is quite clear - I first thought for the longest time that this was, in fact, a DAFT PUNK track, because they never announced the names of the tracks that they had played on the radio and it sounded so similar to tracks on HOMEWORK...
I think it definitely carved out a little niche in history for itself. I rather wish that I had it on 12" instead of CD... it would be fun to spin every now and then.
