Well... I can see why people give it good reviews—it's indeed quiet and dynamic. But, strangely enough, my gut tells me something's off. It's hard to describe; the sound isn't that great. It's not warm or expansive; instead, it feels a bit tight, almost like an early CD. I can understand what others appreciate about it, but it doesn’t resonate with me. The sound seems confined to the speakers, meters away from me. Somehow, I find myself expecting more... -
Very happy with this repress. I missed the first VMP pressing, but this one delivers! You’d never guess it was pressed at GZ! -
The lp sounds great. I'm breaking in a new stylus and spinning a large variety of music.
Very clear and detailed pressing. Jacket and art is fantastic as well. -
Im so glad I was able to get a copy of this, despite the wide spread re-release. This is a top notch pressing. -
Edited one year agoUgh...gz media press...Probably will get this but anything with gz media is a risk -
It seems that Sony is re-releasing the entire catalog of Fiona Apple on vinyl, they are already available on pre-sale, for example, can you buy Tidal for about 28 bucks, it is no longer worth buying on VMP.

This pressing sounds good to me, had no issues with surface noise.
But my copy is warped. Doesn't affect playing, but still annoying as this has been the case with several VMP's I received this year.
I was also expecting a better cover. A bit flimsy for this price. -
Just played this and it sounds great. Vinyl is quiet and the music sounds awesome. One of my favorite albums of all time. -
Just got my copy. Really bad pressing - a couple really loud crackling sounds in Shadowboxer and decent noise throughout otherwise. Ultrasonic cleaning got rid of any static (which there wasn't much in all honesty) but overall just noisy pressing unfortunately.
