This is how a reggae album should sound. The recording was excellent. Joe Gibbs’ is one of the best of the many great Jamaican producers of this era. This pressing really jumps out of the speakers, the bass is fat and full, vocals are clear as are the harmony vocals which often get lost. Vinyl is quiet, nice pressing.
This is one finest Reggae Albums ever, and this pressing does it justice. Price is right, don’t hesitate, buy it. -
I'm pleased. For 20 bucks this mighty roots reggae classic sounds pretty damn good. Plenty of booming yet relatively tight bass. Nice stereo imaging, you can hear the instruments clearly, vocals are powerful and centered nicely. Some shrillness here and there, and sibilance in the vocals but that's always been the case with this album in my experience, pretty sure it's in the recording. Part of its charm. Slight warp but nbd. Nice sounding, enjoyable pressing. Packaging is basic but I think it's reproducing the original including a cool center label. Thick vinyl, comes in a decent poly lined inner sleeve. It's a very competent release with some care and quality standards put into it. I got the regular black vinyl.

1.My Mint copy came warped but still playable... 2.At the end of A5 there ia a terrible noise for 3 turns... 3.Cover is an awful cheap print with faded colours... 3/10

This 2011 VP reissue of Culture's classic "Two Sevens Clash" is excellent as far as I'm concerned. The sound quality is top notch; very clear, loud and plenty of bass. I don't have any physical issues with my copy either, it plays perfectly all the way through. A great pressing as far as I'm concerned, I only find myself wishing I had gone for the 3xLP version!

I had no problem with my copy; it plays beautifully. You may have just been unlucky with a pressing fault; you can't always see them.

It’s not bad for the price. My copy is regular black 140g vinyl. Track B1 Get Ready To Ride The Lion To Zion has an issue halfway thru. A bump or ding causes the needle to pop twice. It skipped the first time but I recleaned the vinyl and cartridge and adjusted my tone arm weight and now I just get two slight pops instead of a skip. Could be a stubborn piece of cardboard dust. Anyone else experienced this? I’m digitizing it so I’d like a flawless file. Maybe a vacuum or record bath will get the dust out. Please respond if you have this pressing or same problem.

Can anyone vouch for the quality of this 2011 VP Reissue? Mastering? Pressing quality? Any problems with it being drilled off-center?
