Edited 2 years agoOn the Japaese reissue they omitted the "thunder" sounds at the beginning of the second song (Dopo...) on side one.
I wonder why?The AMS re has this sound. -
I have owned the AMS pressing for a while, but recently started questioning if there was a better reissue pressing available on this masterpiece. I purchased the 1983 Seven Seas, Japanese a few days ago and compared both in an audio shoot-out. I will say that the AMS pressing was every bit as good as the Japanese reissue, and that those seeking out a very good reissue of this title will be happy with the AMS. The AMS also reproduces the triple gatefold cover whereas the Japanese reissue does not. While both were visually perfect, the AMS was also more quiet.
