I compared it to the MOVLP941 version that I also have. It’s difficult to compare because the movl has a higher volume so compared side by side seems to be a winner and with stronger bass. But this one is perhaps a bit less heavy and more airy. In both cases they are excellent and this one particularly for the price and availability

Not bad but not great. Slightly noisy vinyl that ruins the quiet parts and the mastering is too tame for this album. It has a better top end and breathes slightly more than the previous Marsh mastering but the Marsh has better imaging and is more engaging (but is a little lacking in top end). Neither really offer anything over the original CD. This album deserves the audiophile treatment.

Edited 11 months agoSounds really good, not perfect, but really really good
Clean, dynamic, almost no surface noise
The artwork in this edition is also great, high quality -
Edited one year agoI have heard nothing but good things from Pallas, but in this case, I am disappointed. I had two copies and both looked dirty but aren't. There's something wrong with the vinyl itself as not even a Nessie Vinylmaster could “clean the dirt”. It looks pretty scuffed. And you can hear it, too. There's a very high noise floor, most obvious on the hidden track of the end of “Enjoy the Silence” but audible on every quieter age throughout the whole album. Maybe noteworthy: My runout says “-61621- II” – with roman numeral 2 instead of 1.

Excellent pressing, dead quiet and very dynamic. From the moment the needle drops and "world in my eyes" starts, you know this is special. Stoked to have it on my shelf.
