This german fantasy melodic metal album came out in a time when the wealthy and bored children of the western world spent all their time playing live role playing games in the forest or mind-travelling with the silly adventures of Dungeons and Dragons in someones smelly basement.
Every serious outsider fan of JRR Tolkien books took the albums "Keeper of the seven keys part I & II" to their hearts in 1988.
Here we find fast driven progressive metal aswell as beautiful low key melodica filled with strong harmonies packed in a pompous package only King Diamond could live up to. Always with a humoristic twist in the end. On top of this complicated yet easy listening 80's pop-speed lays the high pitched vocals of man Michael Kiske.
A must have in every metal collection!
