Edited one year ago1. The package: it is fantastic, the pin, the patch, the book, real high quality. Nonetheless the poster could've been better, with an older photo or some sick art of which they abound. The USB has all the material, although differently organized. It'd been cool to have real space to use it in the car stereo, but nevermind, it wasn't the reason I got this in the first place.
2. The vinyls are great in sound and shape. The sound is as good as it's been in the early pressings. The colors of Morbid and Emperor's don't match the rendering in images but they are way cooler. My MT seems dark wine and when put towards the light it really shines. ER is even darker, but again, to a light source, it reveals its beauty.
3. The To Mega Therion mix is the one with Usurper and Jewel from the tragic serenades EP. This make em appear twice in the package. Anyway, although I'd prefer the originals, this is a decision Warrior took a long time ago and we should now consider that mix as the real deal.
3. The tape is a great plus. It sounds great and presents the band in its most primitive version.
4. Having Emperor's Return in ep as it was is a privilege. I hate bonus tracks on my vinyls, so the right presentation is more than appreciated. Morbid Tales is in the American version with two tracks from ER, considering the quality of the songs that's perfect.
A must for someone who wants to get CF essentials on vinyl. -

Edited 4 months agoGrave Hill Bunker Rehearsals: An awesome start to this box set! Amazing to have this on Tape! Sounds really good and shows off a more raw and less polished CF! Before their monstrous debut EP that would change the history of Metal as we know it!
Morbid Tales: Sounds extremely punchy! I have zero complaints. Possibly and easily the best EP (feels more like an album) ever made. This is so so incredible! Really feels like you are on a hellish journey start to finish. Influential as it gets. Pressing is flawless and vinyl color is dark but very nice!
To Mega Therion: My my, am I glad to own this masterpiece. This is one of the all time great overall metal albums. An album that is in a league of its own. Timeless and unique. As classic as metal can be. True pioneering sound that we will never get quite like this again. The LP sounds amazing, cannot complain. A little and I truly mean a little noisy in some of the more quiet parts. Super clean and punchy pressing. Vinyl color looks great!
Into the Pandemonium: Glad this box included CF’s most experimental album. The cover art is brilliant and so is the vinyl color. The mix is great, punchy, and dynamic. My only complaint is that this one has a lot more surface noise (clicks, swoosh etc.) than the other records in this box set. Thankfully, not to the point where a return is necessary. Still highly enjoyable and sounds fantastic despite this!
Emperor’s Return: Awesome EP! Been waiting for what seems like forever to have this one specifically on vinyl with the awesome full artwork! Love the aggressiveness and rawness displayed here! A true must have and welcome edition to any collection! This 12” sounds flawless! Vinyl color is dark like Morbid Tales, but again, really nice!
Tragic Serenades: Awesome release to finally own, albeit a little pointless material wise. Cool to have though as a CF fan. Sounds flawless and the color of the vinyl is good looking!
I Won’t Dance: Another cool record to have now that is also a tad unnecessary except for the track “Sorrows of the Moon”. Side A sounds perfect here but the B side has some repeating ticks that are annoying. Not a perfect cut but it is what it is. The record looks nice though with its color and the rest of the sound is good.
The Collector’s Celtic Frost: This is a banger of a song, short and sweet at just a tad over 2 minutes. The etching is beautiful and so is the vinyl color. Nothing wrong with the pressing at all. Very cool to have included!
Visual Aggression: A nice way to end off the listening of this box set with an exclusive 7”. The sound on this is fast and raw. Sounds good and looks good! -
Ugh! After having listened for a while; what a fantastic box set! Beyond satisfied with the quality of each of the items included. The sound is punchy and defined, even more than expected. Simply said, it slaps - bigtime.
Must mention: Morbid Tales was sooo far ahead of its time.... Absolute masterpiece. -
Got my vinyl box today. Morbid Tales lp is just black vinyl, no red galaxy at all, and Emperors Return is almost completely black as well with just a hint of green galaxy. Definitely nothing like the pictures on the back of the box. Anyone else find theirs like this? Not a big deal but a bit of false advertising.

Another stupid idea is that on the I Won't Dance 12", Tristesses De La Lune is now called Sorrows Of The Moon, why? I know that's what it means in English, but why not just leave the tracklisting as it was on the original?
I guess that makes this one more unique, but personally I'd have preferred all Vinyls in this set to reflect the original tracklistings, still a fantastic box set regardless. -
I'm reading people saying that only the albums are on the USB stick, that's not exactly true. All the bonus tracks from the EPs are bonus tracks on the end of each album, I have checked mine and all tracks are there.
I'd have liked them to put the files on the stick as individual releases, so instead of the Grave Hill Bunker Rehearsals being bonus tracks on Morbid Tales, it would be a separate folder, just like the CD is separate in the CD version of this box set. -
The box is amazing the only problem is like other buyers say that the usb stick doesen't include all albums and EP's.
Only three albums are there. -
This box is great but it has 2 flaws.
1. To Mega Therion is the Warrior Remix, which imo is inferior to the original mix.
2. Emperor’s Return has Dethroned Emperor and Morbid Tales on it when they’re already on the album Morbid Tales. The only label that had the correct track listing for Emperor’s Return is Banzai, it’s just a shame that they censored the cover…
