Edited 4 years agoThis record, in this CD version, sounds fantastic (especially compared to the German-made CD presses), And it is fantastic

Edited 5 years agoPre-orders for expanded version are up on Duophonic, Bleep, Rough Trade and Amazon. Limited clears with obi are long gone. A few clears w.o obi are floating about. Good luck!

Edited 6 years agoMaybe it's my favourite Stereolab album not just because it belongs to that wonderful time when Mouse on Mars, Stereolab and High Llamas collaborated between each other even at the same time, but also because it sounds, at the same time, Stereolab at its most krautrock and Stereolab at its most High Llamas. Many of these tracks could be in Snowbug, mosty Prisoner of Mars and Refractions.
But that is just the icing of the cake. Stereolab as a group was (EDIT: is :___) )a fantastic group and here their dynamics and catchy compositions are just perfect. -
One of the greatest albums of all time. Dots & Loops is an album I thoroughly enjoy, right before Cobra & Phases. It is very explorative and soothing when describing the sound and style that the Groop creates around this concept. The songs do not prolong and flow smoothly. Lætitia and Mary's voices are excellent! Instrumentation, excellent! Own this on CD at the moment but looking for an original pressing sometime soon.
