It’s well pressed, sounds nice but I do find the highs tipped up

Flawless pressing. Temps are dropping up here in Winterpeg, and barely a whisper of static with just a dry brushing. It's a great recording. I'm really digging the dynamics on these VMP jazz records. This is the first time I've heard this album and it's fantastic. It doesn't sound too avant garde to me; just different enough to make it interesting.

Wow. Amazing work on an amazing album. Up until yesterday I have only heard this in Stereo, and mono is more pleasing to my ears. It doesn’t get much better than this. Fantastic work

Insanely good mono repressing. Love VMP’s work. Wish they’d go back to RTI, as this pressing is proof of their quality. The outer is thick and beautiful, although the plastic sleeve was a bit tight. On a general note, I wish VMP dispensed with the sticky fold on the plastic sleeves as they can get stuck to and damage the outers. I usually replace them with a Mofi, but have to lose or cut out the hype sticker. Not ideal.

This is a great mono pressing—bright, detailed, and without extraneous noise (even during the relative quiet of Charlie Haden’s bass solo). I’ve loved this record since the first time I heard it, so I’m thrilled to have a high-quality pressing at such a reasonable price (compared to early pressings, anyway).

I was hesitant about getting this one after auditioning on Spotify. It’s challenging jazz but it’s a “must have” so I took the plunge.

In the first few moments of Lonely Women there is a lead of just the drums and bass sounding distance and, because of this, almost thin/weak/disappointing until then the horns kick in commanding attention so firmly and right up front of the soundstage. You get drawn in to the layers and sonic texture … from a mono mix, no less.

“Challenging” on Spotify, thoroughly engaging and completely engulfing on a VMP LP.

What a brilliant pressing! This is how a record should sound. After my debacle with the Analogue Productions UHQR Kind of Blue, which after cleaning several times and using a Zerostat still has pops, this is crystal clear straight out of the sleeve. I've ordered two other VMP AAA records on the back of this (Blonde on Blonde and Sun Ship), for half the price of one AP UHQR. Fantastic label.

First album I got from VMP and appreciate the extremely clean sound.

Never heard this album until the VMP pressing. Wow this sounds fantastic!
