Official releases of a band's significant bootleg releases is such an awesome thing to see. I can't get enough of these kind of reissues that clean up material that has ed through fan circles for years. Great artwork and and band photos included too.

Find this. It's like a lost bridge between Pink Flag and Chairs Missing. Most everything here is top-notch and has that art-damaged sheen. WIRE did no wrong ever.
-
I didn't think the 154 version of "I Should Have Known Better" could be improved upon, but I should have known better.

I'll add to the chorus of praise here. Unexpected, but wonderfully welcome release from Wire. I've had the old "After Midnight" boot for years, which has much of the same material, and thought it sounded pretty good. This is so much better, the sound quality is truly outstanding, and a perfect pressing from Optimal. I can never get enough classic Wire, so this really satisfies that itch for more- some truly fascinating alternate versions here that I had never heard before. I'll be spinning this a lot for years to come.

sounds so much better than the old mp3s of the demos that were floating around--but has anyone found digital versions of this yet, or seen plans for their release? shame no code was included

This is my favourite vinyl release of the year so far. Blinking wonderful songs and the quality is outstanding.
-
Here’s a weird one. People aren’t marking up RSD releases anywhere near enough. Pre-release from Wire’s website is going for 99 pounds! I’ll pay $40 to upgrade my bootleg, but there’s a limit.

The mid 80s boot sounds pretty good. Is this better in any way? Except for the money to go to the right place this time.
-
Wonderful album. Very different versions of the well known songs. Pressing and sound quality is excellent. Please more releases like this.

Edited 3 years agoAdding to the chorus here: this press is outstanding. Crisp, clear, full. Buy this if you are a fan at all.
