This CD was released by Bill Rieflin's First World Music in 2002, two years prior to the formation of KMFDM Records. However, it bared the first entry (KMFDM001) in the KMFDM Records catalogue system and has retroactively been cited by the band and label as the first KMFDM Records release.

I've always been suspicious of the claims of this cd. There is a sophistication tot the sound of it that is not present on the 84-86 demos or evident on What Do You Know Deutschland. If anyone has even a rumor of the original cassette, that'd be something, but in my mind this is an exercise in Konietzko and Watts going back to their NDW roots. Does this sound like 84 to anyone else?

I would recommend this cd to people who are KMFDM fans and not to a casual listener of music. This is a great insight on what KMFDM sounded like when they first started out. Although this was originally recorded on cassette and thought to be lost sometime in the early to mid 90's, it seems as they had the recording all along just waiting for it to be the right time to re-release it so they can take a break from making cd's. Similar to what they did with the releases of Retro and Agogo. I recommend all the tracks although some can get a little boring at times, but Helmut Mein Helmut is a notable one. Great music for a true KMFDM fan.
