One of the funkiest of the early rap records, and with Super charged lyrics delivered by Jimmy Spicer, an MC way ahead of his time, and should have had a HUGE career.
The music is a bit of a James Brown pastiche, except for the FANTASTIC synth solo which brings it straight into the funky 80's. (who played the keys on this?)
Also notable is one of the ONLY uses of the CASIO VL-1, which provides the childlike drum machine blips. -
