I honestly think this might be the most underrated movie soundtrack of the 1970s. No one ever name-checks it that I've ever heard. If I was making a list of the most unappreciated ones of that decade, this would certainly be in the top 3. The Staple Singers are at their best, Curtis Mayfield turns in some absolutely transcendental content, and the whole thing is faaaaar better than the movie it was made for. Check this one out for sure. The two pressings I've heard are both blessing with above average sound.

Edited 5 years agoThe track "After Sex" is as the title would suggest, perfect to listen to after you have finished an energetic bout of sensual lovemaking and need to take a moment to get your breath back.

For me Side A appeared not to be so exiting. But (especially) B2 and B3 really make it worth to have it in the shelf.
5 stars for these two tracks.
