i bought mine at sister ray Berwick street for reasonable money in the 90's, Really they should know better. I have always suspected it was moody. I had a regular vinyl copy of War so I never bought it to play it, really. I think it sounded ok because i don't recall an issue with the quality. Also a bit of Sunday Bloody Sunday fell off. maybe it will look nice on a wall. it does look good.

I have a copy with black vinyl rim but it was bought from "the other record shop" in Aberdeen at the time of release, i doubt they would sell counterfeit records. Additionally the run out groove etching is stamped, not hand written with:
Matrix / Runout (Side A Run-Out Groove Etching): ILPS 9733 A - 1U - 1 - TOWN HOUSE
Matrix / Runout (Side B Run-Out Groove Etching): ILPS 9733 B - 1U - 1 - TOWN HOUSE

Hi all.
I would not want to be drawn into some endless debate about authenticity of the two picture discs in question here but I vividly buying my copy from HMV in Oxford Street (and not the rogue traders outside the store). I have also had it in my possession since it's release date.
Were HMV in the habit of selling rogue copies back then ? Seems unlikely.
