I got an NM-/EX copy this past weekend and listened to it for the first time today. Wow! I was really blown away and didn’t expect this pressing to sound so good. First, I’d like to mention that this is the only pressing I’ve heard. The soundstage is impressively wide, it’s cut loud, and the overall sound is crisp and detailed
The only complaint I have about this pressing is that my copy is quite noisy at the beginning of both sides, but it gets much better as you get closer to the label. That said, since 90% of these will likely be purchased used, the condition will vary from copy to copy
Overall, it was definitely worth the price! -
Edited 8 months agoSo I’ve had the opportunity now to compare the OG US and UK and this (I don’t do MoFi). This is not shabby at all, closer to the original UK and for a third of the price. But nothing matches the OG US imaging and detail. However, the bass drum is mixed way too high on the OG US, so tradeoffs are unavoidable.

Sounds great. Much better than my copy of Come On Pilgrim, which is a bit iffy. Clear and full sounding. Good stuff. It’s fantastic that these classic albums are available to everyone these days. Not that expensive either.

This sounds absolutely amazing. Full rich sound, and no issues whatsoever. Get it, you won't regret.

Has anyone come across a similar copy that does not have "Printed in England" on the back or inner sleeve? Otherwise my copy seems to match. If not, do you recommend creating another copy?

This sounds fantastic... Unfortunately, mine was horrible warped out of the packaging and the first songs on each side are unlistenable as a result.

I have this exact version but it DOESN'T have the circled U on the dead wax. The labels, cover and sleeve are identical.

My copy of this pressing sounds fantastic, the best presentation I've heard of this album. The sleeve is nicely done too.
