ECM newbie here. In my limited ECM collection the common place is the ambience and sound quality of the record. Batik no different. Something as mundane as symbols in the background catch my ear as I can picture the light touch it took to create the sound. I have discovered that to find the purity in this record is to intentionally listen and enjoy music at its finest. Great listening experience and I highly recommend!
