Taylor Swift – Red (Taylor's Version)

Mine is a Czech pressing, which should probably be a separate Discogs entry.

The mix, mastering and imaging all very good on this pressing. BUT, I can't believe no one else had any issues with warp of one or more of the discs!? They packaged 4 thick records in a GF sleeve designed to hold two and I'm sure they were packed quickly and not completely cooled. I had to return this record 3 times (It was Target, after all, so guilt free returns) and I still didn't end up with a fully flat copy. Two of the copies had enough warp that they actually skipped (and the 45rpm helps with that ... a 45 rpm record needs to really actually be flat). I'm curious how many dead and still sealed warped copies are floating around out there. I'd honestly recommend buying this record used and getting visual before purchasing.

gorgeous packaging, gatefold, sleeves, and sound is excellent. just an absolutely beautiful album all around, and a massive improvement on the original IMO. and finally a target red pressing that fits the album!

Mastering is incredible, records are really pretty shade of red with no surface noise. This is overall a fantastic pressing. My only complaint is that the packaging is a really tight fit, and though when I first got my copy all records were perfectly flat a few months later they have begun to warp due to being squeezed together. I’m storing the vault tracks in their own seperate sleeve now and thankfully they are all playable but it’s still pretty annoying

5/5 release. All four discs are perfectly pressed and surface noise free. One strange thing is that the first two (Side A/B/C/D) discs of the proper studio record are translucent red and the third and fourth discs (E/F/G/H) are opaque red. Highly recommended, especially since most 4xLP records tend to go for much more.

Mastered beautifully, great sound separation, good mastering, no no-fill issues, no surface noise, 45 BPM and I feel like this sounds way better then the streaming version.

The packaging is beautiful, gatefold and printed inner sleeves. The gatefold feels like good quality and the handwritten lyrics inside are beautiful.

It is one of the best pressing’s in regards to sound quality and packaging I’ve gotten in a while.

In addition, it is also one of Taylor’s best pressings (hands down).

However in true transparency the only downside to this is there is a slight decrease in quality and volume in some of the tracks that are closest to the centre. (Babe and Run are examples)

Is this a reason not to buy this vinyl? Absolutely not but I wanted to mention it because I haven’t seen it mentioned.

I also think in this case this is one of the times that the Target version that fits the album theme best.

The red folklore target variant, I thought didn’t fit the album the best and that the copies sold on Taylor’s store were the ones that fit the album theme better, plus all had beautiful LP colours. Some of the most beautiful colours I have in my collection.

The red evermore target variant, I prefer the colouring of the dark green pressing of this for this album. I think it’s fits the mood of the album the best. However, I did purchase the red target version of this one because I saw reviewers say that it was the best sounding pressing. And I must confess, my red evermore copy sounds amazing.

The red fearless TV target variant, could have been amazing if they changed the colour of the album/labels put a red filter on it. Could have been so cool. In this case the gold pressing of fearless I think fits the album best.

But the red version of Red TV. It is absolutely the best variant to get. It's self explanatory. I recommend buying the target version of this album while you can at retail!

not only does this album sound better on vinyl, but it matches the album really well. i have both pressings, and i must say, they both have about the same quality. so get whichever one you think suits the album more!

Mine came with a small dent on the last track on side B. But luckily it didn’t effect the sound quality

I’m sooo happy to own this on vinyl. It’s very high quality sounding, and the fact they pressed it at 45 rpm makes it sound really good as well. The sleeves are very thick, and it’s definitely a good pickup for Red lovers.
