Here is another absolute highlight of my collection. Janus - Gravedigger - and that as a first pressing in mint condition with the poster insert. For me the opener - Red Sun - is the best song on this album. The third song on side one is a bit of a failure. Track four is an amazing hard rock number. On side two there is a fantastic song of 20 minutes. Gravedigger is a number for dreamers like me. The recording is spatial and warm. The cover is also in a class of its own. I would prefer to give six stars here. A British band that lived in and was therefore always part of Krautrock.
A pleasant time listening.

Edited one year agoBeware. there are unofficial reissues with insert for sale . Find a real copy is tricky becuse the reissues look like the original. so if you see this for sale in NM condition with poster your are probably getting the unofficial reissue

Some important notes regarding the early CD issues (legit or not):
1. The "Electrola" and 1st issue "SPM" are very close in sound. They aren't mastered at the exact same volume but I would guess they come from the exact same digital master. If they were level matched, they might even cancel out. The sound on this is tremendous.
2. The 2nd issue "SPM" with the Red "Picture Disc - 5 Bonus Tracks" circle was heavily dehissed via digital no-noising. The sound is vastly inferior to the originals.
