Awful compressed sound, poor dynamics and the volume is crazy high. I suspect this has been transferred from a poor quality CD. -
After purchasing the 2021 MCMXC A.D. album and absolutely loving the quality of sound, I immediately purchased this 2021 pressing of their greatest hits. Since they both had the same release dates I assumed they were going to be the same sound quality. To my ear, they are not. This greatest hits has an abnormally loud volume and is lacking the dynamics that the MCMXC A.D. has. And if that isn’t bad enough, why split Principles Of Lust (side B4) and Sadness (side C1)? It’s a good collection of their songs but the original reissued 2021 albums might be the way to go and on this one.
