Edited 5 years agoIt's all about side B. Lot's of hype about this EP at time of release. The reason why I only half regret being swept up in that hype is the B side. As an earlier reviewer noted, this EP kind of ushered in a 'new' proto-genre: 'electro clash' (which was just a new wave/disco re-hash, really.) The flip side is the better example either way. It doesn't take itself too seriously, has loads of cheesy samples but also sports an amazing arpeggiated analogue synth run. The track is beautifully mixed and the vinyl was intelligently cut too, considering the rather blatant over compression on certain parts (one reason that I've always found side A just on the wrong side of uncomfortable to listen to from an audio quality perspective). Still, no (full) regrets, two decades later.

Three of my DJ friends have purchased this record now after hearing me drop it.
They dont usually play this kind of music and that is a tribute to this tracks versatility.
When ever any of us drop this track, we find so many people asking us,"whats this?". People love it!! -
This 12" is nearly as good as PONY and the second best selling GIGOLO 12" - what a year for GIGOLO ! HELL became an international respected a&r and was THE man behind most of this elektro revival , called electroclash by the media.

I also like the flipside with the great Donna Summer Samples ... and the weird James Bond (?) Soundbits "You speak only when you're spoken to, and at no other time..."
