Seefeel – St/Fr/Sp

Played A2 on Technics 1200 with Shure cartridge - no skipping whatsoever
Played same copy A2 on Beogram 2400 with MMc3 cartridge - a few skips
It's probably borderline issue and your specific gear and setup may get past it, or not

A2 unplayable on my copy too. And ah yeah, it's not the turntable or cartridge.

I’m not even going to talk about the music because we all know it’s ace.

My copy just arrive from Amazon for a mere $23 USD and free shipping. A quick brush of the discs and the stylus (Denon DL-103 mounted to a Rega Planar 6) and all slides are nearly flawless. A few quiet pops here and there…just a normal amount I would say. Nothing out of the ordinary. Overall very quiet and the signal is very strong.

I’m not sure what is going on with some of these comments. I saw the same thing on the Nala Sinephro LP (Warp), and my copy of that too is flawless. I’m not sure if Warp nerds are listening on old, beat up turntables, or just don’t know how to calibrate a turntable / cartridge. Get yourself a real TT and calibrate all your gear. Don’t know how old your cartridge is? Throw it in the trash and buy a new one. Excellent pressing here. And the packaging…wow, beautiful.

Mint!? Lol... Expensive, wooptidoo coloured vinyl or Kind of blue remaster 180 gram part 233456 with splatter and a extra booklet!

Scratched/scuffed/warped/dirty what have you 'mint' records lol

My copy is perfect. I cleaned it before with an antistatic liquid and then cleaned it again with bi-distilled water. The result is amazing. No background noise, no distortion, no skips, intense bass, beautiful mastering. Sublime in every way. The cover and its printing are remarkable. I hope that Warp can bring back the Quique album from 1993.

Did anyone mention so far that this problem already marred the initial release of Air Eyes? I just had enough from the bloody reissue from 2021. I checked my soundfiles (because I record most records when playing them for the first time) and to my surprise, there was no "Air Eyes". So I put on the 12-inch-version from 1994 and lo and behold: skipping all over the place. Has this been mended in recent represses (after the initial run of "St/Fr/Sp"?

The copy I just picked up sounds stellar. No warping. No skips. Love it.

Has the defect been worked out of distribution yet? Have they been able to repress good copies?

Im not sure if the people complaining are new to records and set up but with all them complaining about defects i never get them ?? this goes along with represses of this genre ... on my system tecnics 1200gr / ortofon mc blue quintet ,,, mind blowing atmospherics on a few tracks . Can i suggest I-O1 promo ? thats where it is....

My copy (direct from Warp) is fine, no skips - a bit of crackle but not playing this on audiophile rig just a Technics 1200 workhorse with a bog standard DJ cart. This music itself has very heavy bass and the original studio recordings had some unruly sounds and samples and some deliberate distortion and rumble which no amount of remastering can tame. My Technics will happily grind on through but these might skip on less forgiving decks?
