This pressing is actually a thicker pressing which I prefer to the first pressing which is flimsy in comparison

Bought new in 2009 with exact matrix. These hung around for quite some time

Really glad to have this album, sounds really nice and so much better than the sh*t on Legacy. Nice solid pressing. Not going to change your life, but probably the best these songs have ever sounded.

Can anyone with this pressing confirm that the actual ‘97 reissue has a matte paper inner (looks like it in the photo)? The copy I bought in 2020 has identical matrices and an identical barcode, but a glossy inner. It also has a bright white cardstock for the jacket much more in line with a recent reissue. I want to separate these two releases so there’s a recent reissue using the same metalwork as the original pressing that’s NOT the ‘97.

have two copies of this and both are pressed slightly off-center and have same sound defect on the first track of side 'A'. i would not recommend this pressing.

Anyone have a guess when this release started circulating? Surprised the release date isn't listed.

I honestly LOVE how this record sounds. There’s so much more to hear on this album than on the Danzig overdubbed crap I’d been listening to for decades. Thank you to whoever got the ball rolling on finally bringing this record into the light of day for all of us to hear. Anyone complaining about a low quality sound either has a halfass stereo setup or has not spent much of their waking life listening to the Misfits. This shit blows the doors off of any crappy reissue or cd that pretty much everybody has been stuck with for most of their lives.

My copy sounds pretty good. Mostly quiet. The lo-fi production is to be expected, so dynamics were bound to be subpar, but, to me, the vinyl sounds about as good as it can.

Anyone notice that the deadwax etchings/stamps on this pressing is identical to the deadwax on the original pressing? Is it possible that the reissue was pressed from stampers made off of the original lacquers or master?

This is likely pressed from a digital source. Yes, the lo-fi production is intentional on the bands part, but compare this record to the Spotify stream of this record and you'll notice a loss of audio quality on this pressing. That being said, it isn't horrible. But I am disappointed they didn't put in a little more effort on making this record sound better. But hey, it's all about cashing in on the vinyl resurgence, right?
