One of the first records i picked up at the basement and even then it was a year or so old. 'And folks' is slept on.

Has it really been 22 years since this got released? Thats crazy as it still sounds so fresh to this day. I got this as a promo as my local store used to get promos from time to time so it was a thrill for me as I absolutely loved most everything Hype was doing at the time. This release was coming off the superb work he had previously released on his classic Ganja label so the quality of work is right up there with any of those 12"s. As mentioned by another , its all about that MC Fats vocal and the uplifting message that, frankly, was much needed at the time as Jungle/DnB was getting a bit heavy with all the Ragga stuff getting darker and darker. All in all a superb 12" that is still easy to obtain in VG+/NM shape and usually at a decent price.

This reminds me of bristol free partys & a femail dj ladymuk who would always play this tune if you don't own this 12" then sort it out.
