Any opinions on which of these vinyl pressings sounds the best? I see some comments regarding the Tresor remaster being squashed, but I'm curious if the Axis remaster is any better, or best just to stick with the 90's OG?

Among the most timeless and significant works in techno. Still unparalleled, its level of innovation and influence absolutely remarkable.

High impact music, stirs things deep in the mind and spirit. One of Jeff Mills' masterpieces. Minimalism at its finest. This pressing sounds incredible, but a reissue would be ideal, , since it is not easy to get a copy in good condition and at a good price

Edited 8 months agoThis record is one of the classic Top10 of Techno History. I have it in the shelf from the day of its release and it's like a bible to me. But I unfortunately missed the higher meaning of Phase 4. Currently while listening to the track a couple of years later, I instantly had Klang der Familie in my mind and of course, it seems to be a Remix of it. Great to see another example of the inspiring Berlin - Detroit connection of the early 90s.

Awesome tune as always. I do love the cheeky Der Klang der Familie sample there. I understand it's a remix. I'd say it;'s a rewrite with a sample. but it doesn't matter how we define it, the experience is everything, and this one is outstanding.
