If you are going to buy a repress of this, and if you like reggae this is arguably the best album there is so you should have a copy in some form, you might as well grab this. They were an awesome group and the second disc for the price is like a free bonus, and is better than lots out there -very listenable and enjoyable. I also have the blood and fire press, but this sounds great to me overall, without getting super obsessive about it.

Just bought this for £9 new. Plays fine but the vinyl is flecked with white and purple stains in places. -

Edited 9 years agoJust bought this - the original LP (i.e. sides A/B) are on dark red vinyl, whereas the bonus disc (sides C/D) is standard black. Is this standard issue or have I picked up some freak copy?
By the way - this VP press is a little quicker than the Blood and Fire one, in case anyone was wondering... -
My pressing of the release has Cutty Ranks songs (including "Tempted to Touch") on all of D side instead of the the Congos songs. Everything is perfectly as labelled except for this weird mistake.
