Edited 6 months agoThis Optimal pressing is way better than its U.S. counterpart - much quieter and more open. I have Variant 2, and there is zero noise. At this point, this is the copy to buy. -
So so sound quality. I think the music is a bit compressed and Adele's voice sounded a bit etched. But it is quite and has no surface noises -
it's a 4/5 for my copy. I love the material of the jacket. However, my copy has some pops noise on both sides, not that serious, but noticeable for me. Overall, mine is good. -
Mine sounds really good. Like the review below, my side A had a bit of surface noise but Side B sounds almost perfect. I recommend it! -
Edited 2 years agoSide 2 is flat and quiet. Side 1 has occasional surface noise and a few pops. It has improved after cleaning and a few plays but still a couple spots with noise/pops. Also, there is a chipped edge in the vinyl and the edge seems rough or sharp. I'll research if there is a safe way to properly smooth the vinyl edge. Suggestions? Otherwise, the audio engineering is great! The center hole has some excess vinyl popping up, which hasn't effected anything. Has anyone else found these issues?

Miles better than the disastrous earlier US pressing. Had no surface noise issues at all with this one -
This pressing is head and shoulders above the 2015 version. It only exposes the worn bearing/subplatter in my TT, which I do need to replace yesterday (probably a year ago.) Otherwise it is flat, nearly noiseless, and brings out the music clearly and wonderfully as the producer/engineers and Adele herself intended. TRASH YOUR ORIGINALS AND BUY THIS ONE!
