Epic length release benefits from excellent production and wonderful chamber pop textures but some of the songs just sound forced and incomplete.

LP 2 has significant noise on both sites on my copy after repeated cleaning and repeated plays. Thinking of exchanging it. LP 1 sounds perfect. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same.

Neko‘s best record in my opinion. Fantastic songwriting and perfect production to boot. Bonus points for the Sparks cover and the cricket field recording on side D

This is the place for an opinion. So here is mine: A voice of such magnificence and sublimity - I don't know, it may still captivate me on my bed of death. And a voice, excuse me for being polemical, way exceeding the class of Fleet Foxes, Arcade Fire and Bon Iver, embarrassing recommendations in this context, yes even Jeff Tweedy sounds contrived and forced in comparison.
I know this to be a very sensitive issue: some people do not like the voices of Doc Watson or Jeffrey Lee Pierce or Joni Mitchell or Grace Slick or PJ Harvey or Damon Albarn or Gillian Welch, while I find them touching me with an immediacy hard to comprehend.
And someone like Bono strikes me as pretentious and shallow at the same time, appalling and a waste of time and attention. It's as simple and unfathomable as that.
