Edited one month agoMy copy has the Outside and Inside labels swapped. To my ears, this pressing is similar to, but slightly better than my 2015 reissue. However, it has the same echoey mix as all the other modern reissues, and not the dryer mix that's on the original 1979 Porky pressing. Still a great sounding record though.

owned currently (18032023) this , Italian , US 2007 Remastered.
This pressing is the best in my collection as of now , very balanced sound and has the exact vibe of how Ian want it to be -
I have 4 different copies of Unkown Pleasures: An Italian First Press (laminated), This UK 3rd Press (lamented) and the 2007 (glossy) and 2015 (laminated) modern day (and thus probably digitally transferred) reissues. After having found an all analogue Italian 1st, I never listened to the recent reissues again. Bass feels so more alive and deep. BUT: After having found this UK 3rd it became a though fight. Would this be a football match the UK would win against Italy 2:1. The British press is not only punchy, but has this authentic early 80s post punk futurism in its soundscape. Very 3d. I love both versions deeply, but the UK cut wins.
