Generally speaking, recording and releasing a high-quality double album in a matter of months is an unusually rare feat. Releasing two in that time is unthinkable, but considering the context and intention of Sault’s two untitled releases in 2020, it makes complete sense. The collective mostly eschews visual content and active promotion, encouraging their audience to be reflective in their listening. We are not listening to a new sound being invented here, but instead visible combinations of musical influences that themselves were born out of times of hardship and inequality. In this way, it is both timeless and contemporary, and the most musically articulate expression of the year’s events.

Vinyl repress is out & now for sale in the OG 2020 listing page. Are there differences in the run out info, like the represses of Sault's other LP's?

I can't how I found this work but I'm so glad I did. It is a very carefully and excellently produced variety of styles.

Edited 4 years agoReceived my vinyl pre ordered from their bandcamp page on release day in the post this morning which was a pleasant supprise!
Edit: Can report that the mastering/pressing quality is a continuation from the excellence of “Black Is”
