Very nice sounding pressing if a little marred by low/mid boost for no reason makingg it sound a little boxy. Otherwise great!

Edited one year agowhat version LP i have? side A: 07608 - B
side B: 07608 - A , (no: 07608 A1, 07608 B1) thanks -
Iron maiden , Rising force , Dio and some other rock / metal bands was my high school music back then on and off . This was my second iron maiden that i just purchase used , the other was ' no prayer for the dying ' . Wow , the mastering and dynamic is really awesome . The drum kick just want to blast , its not a neutral sound but more of v shaped signature . No surface noise on my copy . I don't have the new remastered copy but this pressing is the one only keeper.

such an excellent way to listen to the album. dynamic, loud, punchy - it's the best way to listen to TNOTB to this day.

Number of the Beast is one of the best heavy metal albums ever released. Iron Maiden has no shortage of legendary albums in their discography, and this one is absolutely amazing! This is their third album, but it is the first to feature Bruce Dickinson as the lead singer; boy, does he impress in his debut! He delivers every note with precision and emotion! Every song on this album is memorable. Every metal fan should have this classic album in their collection!

Can some one point me to a version that has an etched message on the vinyl? I have one that has a phrase about the mark of the beast etched o. The actual.music bands on the vinyl. Doesn't effect play but I can't find a corresponding description.

I listened to this album to see what the band was like before buying their new album, Senjutsu, too see if it would be worth it or not. The first side was fairly mediocre so I didn't really want to try the B side. But god am I glad I did! The two best songs of the album were on there and sound great! 'The Number of the Beast' and 'Run to the Hills' are now among my favourite heavy metal songs and I can't praise them enough. It's worth the buy just for them.
