First of all, I was very impressed with this particular release, as compared to my Japanese CD, it just had so much more warmth and soul, that I felt was missing on the CD. Then there was the flamed debate whether to buy this MOVLP as the guys got upset - who could blame them?! (I have no clue as of what/why/who) - but, the fact remains, this is a solid nice looking, nice sounding masterpiece of a release, no matter what.
As I'm finally comparing this with the GC's own 2020 remaster, Transmissions, they do sound different, and the GC remaster is a bit more "sharp" and detailed, but not as well-balanced and warm as the MOVLP, which, again, is better looking as a whole, clear vinyl and labels, no matter if there are printed inner sleeves, on th GC version.
Yes, the box is from The Boys and if you bought it from Warp first hand, they probably received some £ from it (but they will get nothing extra for a re-sold item here on Discogs).
If you have the MOVLP, I think you should be satisfied with a good-looking and very nice sounding slab of clear vinyl, and probably at a very affordable price. Treat yourself!

Ps. The GC remaster is a digital transfer from the original DAT tape, as pointed out in the box.
Ps II. They should have catalogued it as MOVLP7614 ;)

Ok, well, I’m surprised this press is so “controversial”. An amazing composition. Stunning in its simplistic complexity as any good ambient should be. I don’t understand all the fuss the pressing snobs put upon this: Which masters, yadda yadda yadda. Who the ef cares?? This stuff is rare. And beautiful. I’m glad to have it no matter.

I'm officially lost when it comes to vinyl recordings, and some of the people who MOV. People know that this is not mastered from the original sources, they know that MOV just uses digital files and presses to vinyl, and people are fine and dandy with that. As a longtime record collector I just don't get why buyers are okay with buying bootlegs, but I guess it's about the actual packaging for them, and not the music. For those who are okay with a CD being transferred to record, it defeats the point at its most base level. Why not buy a CD? The point of analog is to have an analog transfer of it, not a digital transfer. Very strange indeed. All about the collecting and not the music, clearly.

I was prepared to be disappointed, given the slams that DJ Scanner (Robin Rimbaud) has been laying against it: it's unauthorized, it's mastered from a CD, Mark and Tom are putting out their own version later in 2020, etc. I just got it. I put it on. It's amazing. It's loud, it's detailed, and the sound has depth and presence like I've never heard. If they used a CD to create this, I'd be amazed.

Stunning pressing - looks awesome in the gatefold and on clear vinyl - more companies should aspire to deliver to this level

This is a great pressing and I'm disappointed to read tomfoolery about it. Considering most re-press companies just dump crap into the market en masse it's nice MOV wasn't. Hope they can improve their artist relations.

Say what you will, this sounds absolutely pristine. Packaging is really nice also.

So how's this a Jonz cut if he died three years before this? It was either in the works for a long time or it's the same cut from a previous pressing... 2005 reissue entry has no runout info

The packaging is so nice and clean! The records are as clear as can be, and sound beautiful. I’ve listened on two turntables since receiving in the mail, and the album sounds perfect. Ignore all the fit throwing and grab this album if you love ambient music. Let the musicians and record labels sort out all the behind the scenes stuff, and you just lay back and drift off!
