After my quite rough review before, I'd like to go deeper as I wonder that a lot remixes at the moment try to create new tracks using the "elements" of classics? Either using for 30-60 seconds only the melody from then (like partly in this series CJ Bolland & The Advent - Camargue 2019).
These labels/remixers do know the originals but try to remove as much as possible. Somehow for Universal Nation - Bart Skils Rmx it similar… Melodies, even more Trance is so avoided as it can be… Sadly also Bonzai itself is heading this way...even though there were at least the L.S.G. - Netherworld remixes of last year.
However, IMO there are remixers who keep in the remain of the original in not only copying but giving the classics a new touch, Some may try out DDRs Hale Bopp remix Jam & Spoon - Follow Me (Jerome Isma-ae Remix).
Last but not least I have to say that I'm happy that the prices moved from Raiders to normal :) -
Edited 5 years agoAh great, finally there's a copy for a normal price. I bought this for € 14,99
Normally I always go for the original release, but that's an expensive one these days. Still hoping to find one in the future though.
I don't like the remix either , it's too slow & completely missing the atmophere. But, playing it at +8% it isn't that bad ;)
To be honest, you don't buy it for the remix, it's the B-side you're after and nothing else.
Anyway, if you want "Universal Nation (The Original “Real Anthem” Mix)" on wax for a normal price, then grab your copy asap. -
Average remix. Something is missing and the track/melody got stuck...
Even the sleeve design is IMO arbitrary.
For the price asked here: go get the Original!
