The band posted on facebook (Nov 2019) that this album is made up of offcuts from The Isness and Alice...

Some tunes sounds great. But i got lost after the first six. Given That We've Given and I Have Loved You Into Oblivion should be made it on the next (and first) Best Of The Amorphous Androgynous!

Edited 15 years agoNot many people understand where Amorphous Androgynous were heading after "Tales". This is a continuation to the hippie saga they started with "The Isness". Sitars sing, retro drums pound away.. yet it holds the same atmosphere than their early works, a strong and a strange feeling of presence. As usual, the album flows as an entity, blasting the listener to the usual hyperspace. At some point the music becomes only a vessel for the atmosphere and even individual sounds and moments.
Strange stuff indeed.
