I really applaud the Full Dynamic Range series sonically, but man, these are very poor editions. Bad printing and no booklets! Imho, the physicality of physical media shouldn't be an afterthought, and this Remaster series falls short in that sense. A missed opportunity to properly celebrate great metal works of the past. Well, the first edition of this album was "FDR" already, but that is not the case for titles like Entombed's Left Hand Path or At The Gates' Slaughter of the Soul, which have seen a real improvement in sound quality. Hopefully, as the remasters are already done, Earache will improve the packaging and reissue them with some bonus material in the future. Something like the new re-issues of Edge of Sanity on Century Media would be great.

Edited 3 years agoUnacceptably low quality artwork reproduction on my copy - anyone else? Mine looks like an inkjet printed copy from a scan made in 1998 was used as the source image, horizontal banding and everything.
