Just why on Earth did they decide to put a sticker directly on the sleeve (not the shrinkwrap) is beyond my comprehension. Ruins the cover.

While the first copy of this that I bought had a pressing flaw, the replacement copy sounds flawless on both sides. Perhaps complaints regarding the sound quality on side 2 come from not knowing what the "Dome sound" is like? The tracks on side 2 are definitely more heavily Dome-ified than those on side 1, but the perceived loss of fidelity is just down to Gilbert & Lewis' murky production which can be heard on Dome's LPs as well as the Desmond Simmons album they put out (also in need of a reissue, IMO).

Like one or two others here, I was very disappointed with the sound quality on Side 2. I have cleaned the vinyl (despite it not being dusty etc - I bought it sealed) but that had no affect on the sound. It appears to be a pressing issue?. If so, it's disappointing that it ed Q.C.. Congrats though on the superb sleeve notes, by the Failed Bohemian.

I’m just reading my original (positive) review from 1982, where I comment on what should be the correct "Gaelic" for "my friend". Unfortunately the original error has been reprinted on this new sleeve. The correct Irish is "mo chara" and not "mó cará" which is meaningless.

One the most beautiful music ever heard. The reissue is very nice: interesting liner notes and good pressing quality.

An amazing album, beautifully presented with informative sleeve notes and photos however.... for some reason the sound quality on side B is distinctly muffled compared to the CD version of the same tracks (WNO 2001) It sounds the same on the bandcamp page too so doesn't appear to be a defect in my copy.

Nice release in of packaging, with a printed inner full of notes, and sound in general (just some clics here and there). But I have to report that Voices theme sounds almost terrible to me: maybe it’s intended or it is due to the bad live recording, but this particular song is full of reverb and noise up in the front for its main part, like a disturbing echo of electricity, leaving the drums in the back, barely audible. I don’t have the original pressing so I can’t state any conclusion, but what it’s sure is that is not my copy, as the mp3 that I was gifted with sounds exactly in the same way (well, much bad indeed, per compression).

Have anyone else detected this? If there is someone that possess the original LP, I’d appreciate his or her comments even more. Thanks!
