Edited 4 years agoSounds amazing except from some low level crackle here or there but it is not distracting on my copy, deep warm sound, nice soundstage. Garcia and Tetteh are shining.

I can't speak to if the dynamics are poor or good because I don't know what that means but my copy has no distortion or clicks and pops that I have noticed, Sounds good. Not amazing but good.

Just got a copy. Gave it a thorough wash before playing but there is a fair bit of static on the background but no pops (yet). Had to also pump up the gain a fair bit to get anything out of the record. It's just recorded low and with poor dynamics. Increasing the gain in turn exposes a fair bit of distortion in a number of instruments. That's a pity because the music is very good. I also got the CD so need to compare that to the LP one day.

Edited 5 years agoAgree with the previous comments. This is just one of the worst pressing of the decade ... I went through 3 copies and NONE is good. I have to keep the quietest one, which is a difficult matter. The music is mastered (I'm sure digitally) very low so you just have to add the pressing flaws to the lineup of musicians here. Whether it's clicks, pops, constant noise, distortion, the multiple pressings have everything. It's A SHAME for such a wonderful album and that magnificent artwork.

Great album, terrible pressing. First of all, the mastering is very quiet and lacks dynamic, and after going through 3 copies I gave up because they all had a ton of static that caused clicks and pops throughout the whole record.
