I paid $25 for this boxset and I still feel like I overpaid. I (mostly) like the album, but this boxset feels pretty pointless.

For me personally this is amongst one of their best albums conceptually. It mixes a full reflection on life with a mild, and forgiving voice. Maybe it's because of me being in my 50ties, maybe because the music touches me same as the lyrics do.... I find myself and it heals parts of me broken before. Thanks U2. 😊 Due to an unknown reason, however, I find myself listening to the vinyl album always backwards from 4 to 1.

Found #663 at a local shop and took the punt on it. Overall very pleased with the package and the quality of the pressings. The discs are beautiful. And as a dedicated U2 fan across their whole discography, this album has been a pleasant surprise to me- flows really well and there’s some great songs on it.

I picked up one cheap off of ebay. Very cheap really seeing as it was £13:50. For those trying to keep track of how many of these there are, mine is 52,084. Not In the least bit limited then!

#43437 here in Canada. Paid $45.20 Canadian with tax, equivalent to US$32.81 by today's exchange rate. I have to say, though, that this whole box set is the most pretentious bunch of crap I've ever purchased when buying an album. I only picked it up because I had a credit at the record shop so I took a chance. I really like the music itself. I just don't get all the amount of packaging and useless extras like the newspaper, poster, etc. This band used to at least pretend they were about something and against many things, including consumerism and pro social justice and the environment. How does that translate to a full-colour boxed set containing useless pieces of paper printed in colour and made available only to those who can afford it? And it's hardly a limited edition if there are at least 43,000 of them out there. I'm not buying this to sell it, I'm buying it to keep it. I'm just going to put the pretentious newspaper etc. back in the box unopened and listen to the vinyl and the CD, and I'll probably the tunes. Maybe some day my kids will have something of value on their hands if somehow 40,000 of these find their way into the bin. U2 had a fabulous run of terrific records until Joshua Tree, which is still my favourite record all time, hit a pretentious speed bump with the record and film Rattle and Hum, which despite all the hokey homages to the US I kind of like, and then they pivoted brilliantly to Zooropa and Achtung Baby. They achieved what few bands can, exceeding the usual creative life span of five years and instead have a great catalogue that runs about 15 years. I lost track after that, frankly, because with Pop they began to sound like they were trying out for American Idol. WIth this record they have achieved a fusion of their late '80s vibe with the near disco energy of the early '90s tunes. I don't recognize any of the songs as I'm stuck in the '80s when it comes to the radio, but this album demonstrates strong production values, and Bono, when he's using his mouth to sing and not pontificate, sounds pretty good for a guy who just turned 60 a week or two ago. I could listen to this record over and over. It's not rife with hits but it's highly listenable, if perhaps oversynthesized. It sounds as if the Edge took the day off for this one. Anyway, back to the packaging to get at the third record. It'll take up half the afternoon to listen to the whole thing.

We have #08518 but it is unclear how many boxsets went out into the wild.
