This really excellent perfectly made and pressed must have single shares the same Glynn Johns' original stereo mixes as the only other three global territories releases were, namely: America, Canada and Japan 1969 EMI-Apple releases. Capitol Hollywood paid the fees and commissioned the stereo mixes from Johns.
All other territories have McCartney's tampered with, and over obsessive Mono mixes, imposed on Johns with McCartney standing over, cracking the whip on Easter Bank Holiday Monday 1969. Johns had an old mono Dansette that McCartney fixated the sound to come out from.
On hearing the two side by side there is no real difference just that one is in a nice crisp defined 180 degree stereo, the other a much compressed and re-eq'd 1 channel sound.. Own both if you must, but this is the one that you will always play!
This EMI-Electrola pressing is vastly superior to Capitol's USA and Canda offerings label wise (finish text and layout), metal wise, nice slow run-on) , finish wise,(labels precision cut and centered) + this has this very of the time picture cover. (Its printed on very thin gloss paper, so the three points of are easily split, if handled roughly). Also note that Get Back credit is assigned to McCartney only on this original LH die-cut pressing.
