I'm still impressed with this album. One of the most beloved on the electro-industrial scene in general. Great job!

Velvet Acid Christ seems to have really good albums such as "Calling Ov The Dead" and "Lust For Blood", or very lack luster albums such as this one. The tracks on this album seem to vary from Industrial to psychedelic trance beats. The idea is good, however VAC cannot seem to break free from the run of the mill trance/industrial sound that has saturated the genre. Normally VAC has good command with his horror type samples, creating a musical world of blood, gore and doom. This album however, fails to strike the heart of the listener with its samples or the gruf vocals. Infact, many of the samples have little cohesion with the music. This album is unoriginal, uninspired and just plain boring.

I'll be the first to it that VAC is pretty far out there... Not exactly the kind of artist or music I usually listen to. I'm not much of a fan of his other albums, as most of them seem rather dull in my opinion. This album though, slips between the cracks and is easily one of my favorite industrial albums. Most of the tracks has VAC using goa trance - which is something he never did before, nor tried again since. And it really works with his raspy vocals. The theme of the album is very depressing and if you can make out what he's saying.. you'll realize how down he must have been while recording this. The blend of industrial, goa and EBM make this a very good record and fans of the genres should check it out. I hope he will persue this direction one day.
