Definitely too much (bad) distortion for my taste, especially on full tracks like "Medication" and "Little Sister". Might be a combination of a too hot (lavry gold clipped) master and a too hot cut. Also lacks top end. Unfortunately this is not the only BG record that has this issue. One of the more recent Neil Young Harvest re-issues sounded having the same issues (this was a Chris Bellmann cut though). I also that the "Little Sister" picture disc 7" was sounding even a lot worse.. Well, it had been 2005..

Finally found a near mint copy of this and I'm glad I did because sounds magnificent to my ears, loud and detailed even at lower volume, much, much better than any other cd or vinyl reissue, worth the $$$.

Sounds good, but is only a slight improvement over my CD - every version of this albums sounds compressed. Definitely not worth the current market price. The copy I had was also very noisy.

Super punchy, super tight, loud and full of bass. Amazing pressing on beautifully looking slabs of vinyl. Great, classic release.

My OG copy has a tiny bit of surface noise between tracks or in quiet ages. Not too much but noticable when listening with headphones. Pretty sure it is caused by the mixed coloured vinyl. Otherwise great sound. Soundwise the MOV pressing comes close to this but does not have the full tracklist unfortunately. The 2019 one has the full tracklist and no surface noise but sounds a bit compressed in comparison. Artwork of the OG is great with that photo collage on the inside. Also comes with a lyrics sheet which both reissues do not have.

The pressing is superb and super dynamic. Great soundstage, no background noise at all!
VOcals, guitar and bass are all well balanced. it hits you for real; nothing to compare with other releases of the album that I heard.

ok, now they're selling this record for at least 80-100€, Too much on my opinion...but it will worth the price. If you are in doubt, wait a moment...save some money and buy it!

Sounds a lot better than the MOV version, which is seriously lacking dynamic range in comparison.

I had the MOVLP version, which sounded punchy AF. Just opened this one and it's a fvcking banger. Crystal clear, wide separation, punchy... In other words: the ultimate pressing for this record hands down.

I pulled this out of the record bin @ Waterloo records in 2005 after an Acoustic QOTSA show, and then i bumped into Josh outside and I asked him to sign the cover. He signed his name and 'Wolf'. lol

Excellent sounding record. I've always thought QOTSA's music sounded compressed when I heard a CD or digital files. This vinyl release totally opens things up and creates nice space between the instruments. Definition and clarity are above average and the soundstage is big. Drums are punchy and guitar tone is dynamic. The music is hard driving and intense. Love listening to this band on vinyl, it's just a nice thick sound. Pressing is quality, flat centered and only some minor clicks and pops. Overall worth it to pick up an original copy of this. I think my local record store dude must have copped one of these from the warehouse find sale because I found a sealed copy today for a more than reasonable price. Not too long ago, a sealed copy would cost you $125. That was still a little to steep for me. When I saw the copy I got today, sealed, for $50, I bought it in a flash. IMO, if you could find this record sealed for under $100, that's a deal.
