One of the most original en qualitative music recordings of the past two decades for the pop/rock/alternate subgerne. -
Without a doubt my favorite Ulver experience since the early electronic EPs (Silence Teaches You How To Sing) and their soundtracks (Perdition City) and, well, their glory black metal days (Nattens Madrigal in particular). Huge, dark synthpop sound, definite DM/Reload influence here, worlds away from anything Ulver has previously done that I've heard. I can't overstate how well-produced this album is, the electronic sounds are thunderous and Garm's sometimes problematic opera vox get their time to shine in this nocturnal context. If "Violator" is your go-to DM album you'd be pleased to hear these tracks.

I loved them under Quorthon's spell, i worshiped them under Balance's magick, but Gahan's syrup i can not stand. Wolves aren't made for candies.
